2 more held over attacks on Buddhists

Police arrested two more people in Teknaf upazila of Cox's Bazaar early Friday for their alleged link with the September 29 attacks on Buddhist temples.
The arrestees are Momataz Miah, 35, son of Jafar Miah of Unchiprong, and Shamsul Alam, 40, son of Abdul Hakim of Doyangata.
They were nabbed in an overnight drive Thursday, confirmed Sub-inspector Baktiar Uddin Chowdhury of Whykang police outpost, reports our Cox's Bazar correspondent.
Shamsul is number 11 accused in a case filed over the attack in Whykang Buddhist area while Momataz was detained as a suspect, the official told The Daily Star.
During the September 29 attacks, monasteries and houses were vandalised following the Facebook post of an anti-Islam photograph tagged to a Buddhist youth's account.
